During the visit of Christine, our president, to Ste Bernadette Home in December 2010, Sister Elizabeth Badini showed her the garden she started at the back of the property.
The space reserved for this purpose was extensive, but Sister Elizabeth lamented the lack of money for seeds and to pay a gardener. More vegetables would vary the meals of the girls and improve their diet. After the visit, Christine handed Sister Elizabeth the equivalent of 100 Euro, which allowed her to buy seeds,
and to immediately employ a young man to clear the garden.
Burkina Framtid decided to continue its help to improve the garden.
In mid-September 2011 Sister Elisabeth sent us the first pictures of the garden, and its produce. A fence had been installed to prevent animals from entering.
